It all started with a near miss
The idea for Swoop came from Phil, the owner of Blue Llama... Back in 2024, Phil nearly lost the chance to buy his home after receiving poor advice from a mortgage broker. He had trusted them to find the best deal, but they disregarded a lender he later approached independently, who ultimately provided his mortgage. The experience was stressful, confusing, and almost cost him the home he wanted. It also sparked a question that would grow into Swoop: why isn't there a simple, independent way for islanders to see every mortgage option in one place, without bias?
Swoop was born
Swoop is Guernsey's first mortgage comparison website. It's designed to make mortgages clear, transparent, and easy to compare. All in one simple view. It's completely free to use . There's no login, no bias, no pressure — just clear information to help you make confident decisions.

Every day, our AI technology automatically scrapes and updates the latest mortgage rates and product details from Guernsey’s main lenders. You can filter and compare by type, rate, term, or lender in seconds. And if you’re unsure what something means, Morty, our friendly AI assistant, is here to explain the terminology and guide you through the process.

Swoop is an independent project by Blue Llama , a Guernsey-based agency specialising in AI automation and web development.
